Disneyland Resort
Did you know that the idea for Disneyland started on a bench?
Walt would often have a “daddy’s day” with his daughters, Diane and Sharon, at Griffith Park in Los Angeles. As they rode the Merry-Go-Round, Walt would find himself sitting on a park bench.
Walt imagined something different: a place where parents and children could laugh, play, and explore together. A place designed not just for kids, but for families.
That spark of imagination became Disneyland, a park that would forever change the way the world vacations.
Fast forward to today…
Disneyland Resort is still inspiring joy for guests of all ages. Walt once said that Disneyland would “never be completed as long as there is imagination left in the world,” and he was right.
The resort has continued to grow and evolve with incredible new attractions, immersive lands, and magical one-of-a-kind experiences.
Today, Disneyland Resort includes:
2 theme parks, 3 Hotels, and 1 Downtown shopping area.
