Disneyland is located in Anaheim, CA & opened on July 17, 1955. It is the only theme park designed and built to completion under the direct supervision of Walt Disney himself.
There are 2 theme parks: Disney’s California Adventure & Disneyland + a Downtown Disney shopping area.
Disneyland is more intimate than Disney World; everything is walking distance from Disneyland Hotels and most Good Neighbor Hotels. This makes getting to the parks quicker and park hopping easier. For those with small children and strollers knows how nice it is not to have to fold a stroller to get on a bus.
